The easiest way to tell is to watch during their copulation, if you missed that, wait and see which one gives birth. If you're in a real hurry, a physical examination of the genitalia will show a slight protrusion in young males.

It can be tough when they babies but just like with most mammals the males will have two testicles on either side of the penis. When they are real young theres usually a greater distance between the urethra and anus in a male.

Use your forefinger and middle finger to press down the vent area just in front of the anus. The area will protrude. The doe will display a slit or central line running up and down. The buck will have a blunt white tube without a central line.

If you gently spread the genitalia on a bunny, a male will have a slight protrusion, a female will only have a slight slit.
