You can't. A dog will naturally shed. Even dogs that are labeled as "Non-shedding" will experience some hair loss throughout the year. Just comb your dog daily and that will keep some of the hair off the furniture.

Some dogs just shed alot. If you brush your dog every day that can help, also i would recommend bathing them every 1-2 weeks. My dog sheds and gets dandruff, between baths she gets wiped down with diluted mouthwash to help the dandruff.

Change the dry food too food that prevents shedding. Comb the dog everyday. Give is a tables of fish oil. Give him a bath. All four things together work.
