Facial numbness can be caused by cold temperatures, or it can be a sign of a serious health problem such as a heart attack, stroke, or nerve problem. Your best bet is to see a doctor right away. Even if due to cold, if the numbness doesn't go away quickly, you might have frostbite and need to see a doctor.

Not being able to feel in an area that you once were able to feel in is not generally normal. It is advised that you consult a physician if it persists.
