In some cases, like humans, they may skulk quietly, eat less and display general listlessness. However, sometimes depressed dogs will 'act out' by forgetting toilet training, chewing and acting aggressive.
Generally dog depression is pretty similar to human depression. If your dog seems sad, and is not acting like itself that you may be onton something. Try your vet.
