How can I write a student council speech?

Answer by  jhart (64)

To write a student council speech, first discover the issues that are important to the students at your school. Ask your friends and pay attention to hallway talk. When you have a topic that everyone is interested in, write about it. First state the problem; then discuss how you or the council could work to solve it.

Pick a topic that is serious and implementable by a student council. New bathroom stall doors, more bathroom breaks for students, safety issues - these are areas to discuss.

Use all of your own creative material and don't take anything from other sources. Don't promise what you can't fulfill. Avoid using unrealistic and extravagant words, they make the speech sound uninteresting.
