Well you actually place lime into the grass in the seeding process. This will eventually change the color of your grass over time. You will be pleased with the results.

For this you are going to want to add 50lb of lime per 1000 square feet. Using a granule form is the best way to go. Simply spread evenly across your lawn.

I use dehydrated lyme for my yard and I sprinkle it on the yard after the sun goes down and let the dew do its job.

Adding lime to your lawn can repair the damage of time and depleted nutrients. If your soil is very acidic use lime pellets at least 2 times a year.

The first step before considering using lime would be to test the pH of the lawn. From there, you can start applications of lime. If the grass is brown, lime will help make a healthier lawn, but there are other factors. Be sure you are watering the lawn regularly.
