Battery connections usually require no testing, just a visual inspection. Cut and peel back the plastic cover of the wiring. If it appears to be corroded, either rusty, green or has a white buildup it needs replaced.

Remove jewelry;it is an electrical conductor. Engine is off. If there is corrosion on the battery terminals, clean with a wire brush. Connect a voltage meter--red to red and black to black. Start engine and idle. Meter should read from 12.5 and 12.8 volts.

You can use a volt meter and check that way. You are on a 12 volt system so you can just check it and make sure it is above 12 volts if not you need a new battery.

make sure its clean from corrosion. make sure the connections are nice and tight and not loose. and when the car is running put a voltage tester accross it to make sure its holding a charge as well as watching for the alternator to recharge it

The fusible links right off the positive battery terminal on the battery. Check that first to see if it's set up correctly, locate the fuse box on the fender, check them to see if it is a bad ground. other than that it could be a key switch problem which needs mechanic attention.

Most electronic stores have inexpensive volt meters. That is the easiest and safest way to test a car battery and they can be used for many other things also.

Well I would imagine that it could be checked using a standard multimeter. Just use your contacts on the battery terminals and measure the resistance between the two. It should be close to zero. The key may have to be switched on but the engine probably won't need to be running unless you also want to check the voltage.

Check the connection by using a Multimeter. By using the resistance setting, place one probe on the battery terminal you wish to test, and the other probe some where on the other side of the connection. If you show a low resistance reading, you have a good connection. If your resistance is high or infinite, you do not have conductivity.

The best thing to do to test any electrical components is put a multimeter on it. Probe the power wires and look for at least 12 volts with the engine off an closer to 14v volts with it running.

You can use a multimeter. For a fully charged battery, the voltage should be around 12v. Try cranking your engine, voltage should not drop below 8v.
