How can I tell how old teddy hamsters are?

There is really no way to tell how old hamsters are if they are already full grown. Hamsters live only to be about 2 years of age, so if a hamster is not as active as it used to be, chances are it is getting up there in age.

I think that it would be hard to figure the age of any hamster, unless you receive it as a baby. Hamsters live only a few years.

Teddy hamster live to about 2-3 years. It's hard to guess how old a hamster is on one's own. Your best bet would be to visit your veterinarian to have a quick assessment. In general, I've noticed that veterinarians take a look at the hamster's teeth to have a good estimate of age, but I am not sure what else.

Teddy bear hamsters are known for their long hair and are sometimes called angora hamsters. With the probably food and care they can live 2-3 years. Unfortunately there is no way you can get the exact age of your hamsters. Knowledgable vets could possibly give a guess on the age.
