Find the best space in your yard. The vine will need a lot of space and sun. Plant it in good soil, with good mulch, in the fall.

Build a trellis of some kind for the grapes to climb, plant a start of the vine below it, and keep it wet.

Set up a trellis frame, wood is best, to ensure that the vines have somewhere to grip as they grow. Make sure the surface area is exposed to a couple of hours a day to direct sunlight. Buy a vine sprout and plant at bottom of trellis.
