When stains first occur, it is important to clean them with a low ph balance soap. Drying with a hair dryer is important. Once water has set and created a ring, the furniture may need to be professionally cleaned.

One of the best ways is to use rubbing alcohol. You should test the alcohol in a lesser seen area of your couch.

First you want to dampen the area with baby wipes, after dampening the area agitate the area with a clean cloth whilst blow drying the spot. If this is not successful repeat the process.

If it's on the cushions and the covers are removable, try them in the washing machine. Otherwise try a steam cleaner with an attachment for furniture.

You may try cleaning your new microfiber sofa with soap and water, only to find that you've left rings of water on your fabric. This is not "dirt" that you just spread around that can be cleaned by using more soap and water.
