How can I put a new switch on a Sears mower?

Replacing it depends on model. On a riding mower it should be easy to locate. It should be under seat. The switch should clip into place with the wires simply plugging in. Should be an easy 5 to 10 minute repair. Just be certain you get the correct replacement switch. Easy repair.

This is question is hard to answer , since Sears makes many different types of motors, please specify what kind of motor it is.

Yes you can, and it is a very easy process. The switch is a fairly universal part as they pertain to riding mowers. On the back of the "dashboard" unscrew the locking nut and unplug the wiring harness. Remove the switch and reverse the process to complete installation.
