How can I help resolve a problem between co workers?

Answer by  CrystalEg (500)

The best thing you can do is to safely mediate a conversation between the coworkers to help figure the situation out. Most times it is a simple misunderstanding that can easily be resolved by talking it through.

Learn what the problem is. Learn what each person feels about the issue and convey it to the other. Keep them apart. Bring them together only after you have reached some consensus between any shared view they may have.

Whether you should get involved depends on whether you are their boss. If not, stay out of it. If so, try assigning them to work on a task together that forces them to cooperate and rewards them for teamwork.

First of all, talk with both the colleagues and understand what their problem really is. Try to realize them where is the mistake. Try to make them understand –to create a friction is very easy, but to cure its burns is difficult.
