Ater things have greened up in the spring, purchase crab grass preventer, and apply according to directions. You may want to seed and fertilize with plenty of water as well.

Use a good fertilizer that has crab grass preventive. Then aerate your yard and plant a good hearty grass seed that will grow thick in your area.

There is a Scott's treatment that you use a certain time of the year to control crab grass. Or you can get down and dig it out, which will take longer depending on the size of your yard.

Ahh crab grass, a horrible lawn weed. There are a few ways to go about ridding your yard of crab grass. One way, the longer way but more effective way, is to dig it out making sure to get all the roots. Or to use a crab grass spray
