The way to get people to stop cold calling you would be to register with two registries, the national registry and the one for your state.

There is national do not call registry. This seems to dissuade about half of them. The people making these calls get paid minimum wage plus bonus based sales and completed calls per hour. Keep talking and fake interest for least 45 minutes then it's how's minimum wage feel NOT interested.
