How can I get free ringtones for a Motorola phone?

You can't get free ringtones from your cell phone providers web store, but if you go on the internet there are some websites where you can download and create your own ringtones. Or you can record songs on your phone and make that your ringtone.

The best thing I have found for ringtones is to simple create you own. Some phones can use full mp3's but if not use a program to trim them down to work. I use mpTrim for cropping my songs. Typically a thirty second clip will work for most phones. Then just copy it over to your phone.

There are many websites that offer free downloads, there is also freeware available that allows you to trim down songs of your choice for upload to a mobile phone.
