How can I get dog urine out of a down comforter?

The first I would do is soak it in vineger. Let it soak for about 2 days. Then wash it in cool water with a mild soap and line dry it in the sun. This should take out the odor and leave it smelling fresh.

Wash the comforter immediately with detergent and about 2 cups of vinegar. If the comforter is pure down you can try washing it in a front loader at the laundry mat on gentle. Vinegar is the key to removing the stain and smell.

The lucky thing about dog pee is it doesn't smell like cat pee does. If my cat pees on things (which he never has done, touch wood) i would probably just throw it out. However this is a dog we're talking about. Wash it int he washing machine and lay it out to dry it.
