How can I find out my blood type?

Is there a simple test, or do I have to go into the doctor?

If your blood has been drawn at your doctor's previously, it is likely that they already know your blood type. You can call and request the information. If not, you can schedule a simple blood draw to find out. It is necessary to do this at a lab.

You do have to have a blood draw to determine your blood type. Do you want to save some money and a life? Donate blood to your local blood bank and they will tell you for free, along with screening of your blood for other conditions and give you some cookies and juice too.
