The best way to find any water leak is to dry up all of the water you can and see where it is spreading from. All water leaks have a source, so depending on how big the leak is or where it is at, use a dry substance or dry paper towels to soak up water narrowing it down.

The most simple way to detect a water leak is visually inspect the suspect area. Another good way is by touch. If the water leak is under ground look for a wet spot in your yard.

You find a water leak by first assessing the area of where the water comes from. Look around and see if any pipes have bursted or have cracks in them.

You should cut off the water supply in your house, make sure to close all taps in and out of the house , then check your water meter they usually have leak indicators that indicate a leak even if it is a slow leak , if you find that the leak indicator needle is moving you have a leak.
