In order to eliminate mites you need to know what kind they are. There are certain types of mites that are species specific, but others, such as scabies that can be transmitted from dogs to humans. All treatments should be adminstered by a veterinarian.

Get a flea and tick spray and spray your entire house because Mites cannot jump but they can crawl. Treat any animals or people who have mites.
