Schnauzers are stubborn and require persistance. Pick the spot you want him to use, attach him to you with a leash, and take him there often. Praise profusely when successful.

Keep treats in your pocket. Take the dog outside after every meal until it poops. Immediately give praise and a treat. Have the dog sleep in a crate.

Dogs do not like to go in the house. Take your dog for 8 walks a day.15 minute minimum. praise going outdoors.If you see sniffing time to walk.

When home alone and overnight, keep it in a kennel. It won't defecate where it sleeps. Make sure to regularly let it outside and give lots of positive reinforcement.
