whenever you work in electricity cautious method followed. first you shut off all the switches in the box and then switch off the main. then you can change circuit breaker.

First put Off the main switch and then remove both wire from the concern switch terminal place new circuit breaker in its place and join the wire in proper terminal.

The circuit breaker that runs the front end of my house i.e. bedroom, living room and front garage. It is a little black box with a 15 on it

First turn off the power at the main service disconnect. Replace with the appropriate type breaker with the correct amp rating.
