Typically, you can't block or hide your IP from your ISP (internet service provider), but you can hide it from other web services by loggin through a proxy. A proxy is a web server to which you can connect and it redirects all your traffic through itself, thus giving you a "new" IP.

You can't "block" your IP address but you can obscure it from some websites/servers that you make request to by using an anonymous proxy. A popular anonymous proxy service is Tor.

You can not block your own IP number. If you did, you would end up with no internet. It's the key to internet access.

There are many different sites that you can do this, such as www. hide-my-ip. com. Of course with strong technology, it can be uncovered, for basic users it will be hidden.
