Cows are driven to a slaughterhouse in a semi and then hung up in chains. Their throats are then slit. These cows are left to hang upside down until they are dead. Some cows are killed with electrical prods until they are dead. Most cows are killed in these two ways.

There are a few ways and depends on the slaughter house, but some shock, some do a blunt hit to the head, some simulate a gun shot to the head.

This is a bloody and violent process. They are restrained, shot with a bolt or sliced at the neck, hung upside down and bled, then, maybe or not dead, worked down the line to be skinned and dissected. Meats are removed, bones are boiled, and innards are processed or shipped. Fun.
