I've never gotten any money from one of those sites and I have never met anyone who has. If it sounds too good to be true, it normally is.

There are reputable unclaimed money sites maintained by the state. You can usually access them through your state treasurer's website. If you can prove your identity, it's worth looking at!

I've never used those sites to get free money, but I don't recommend them to anyone because in my opinion they're scams. In addition, many people who received these scams by snail mail or e-mail have been scammed by these companies. It's better to get a legitimate lottery ticket.
