Pantethine alters your hepatic (liver) function. This in turn affects how your body responds to the adrenal gland hormones such as adrenaline and some forms of testosterone and estrogen. It doesn't directly affect the adrenal glands.

As far as I know, there is no proposed mechanism or any scientific study that shows pantethine affects the adrenals. Pantethine is a more biologically active form of B5 and isn't involved in the synthesis of the hormones of either the adrenal medulla or cortex. VERY limited scientific shows there might be an effect on cholesterol processing in the liver.
