If you're concerned about him knowing how much money you have you should leave him. Before you do so take any money you have in cash around the house out.

It is not necessary that he should exactly know how much money you have. You should in routine tell him about your monthly income, Fixed deposits, royalties etc. but always keep something in the secrecy for the future. Nobody is sure about the future or what is going to happen.
