They are very loving and energetic dogs that are quite smart. Being small in size they are quite protective and good for protection as well as the family pet. They do a bit better with older kids who dont taunt them and chase them.

Yes "Yorkies" as there commonly known make very good pets. There are from the terrier family of dogs. They are small so require a small living space and small portions of food. Must be socialized and trained early on though.

Yes, they absolutely do. Although small in size, yorkies become protective of their owners and bark at the smallest noise. Don't think of that as annoying though, as those sharp ears are good protection for you. Their size makes them easy to take everywhere as well.

Absolutly! I adore mine. They are a loyal, spunky breed. The terrier in them makes them very smart and they learn quickly. Their small size makes them great for apartment living. They are great pets!

Yes. They tend to like human companionship and have a lot of personality. However, they are really smail and frail and can be yappy if spoiled too much. Small children are a risk for these reasons.

If you live in the city then it is one of the best dogs. It is little so your house will not be a mess.
