Each company manufactures their carburetors with slight differences, especially internally. If you are trying to fix something internally, then yes, you will probably need to buy brand specific parts for it.

Be careful when purchasing replacement parts for your Weedeater lawnmower; I, personally, would stick with Weedeater brand. Here's why: if you ever have a problem down the road with your Weedeater lawnmower and need to take advantage of the warranty, you will still be covered if you use the brand-specific replacement part rather than an aftermarket part.

If the parts will fit the carburetor that you have I would get them but they may be after market parts. Some are fine some may not work well . You may be ahead to get parts that are USA made.

You have to make sure it meets certain requirements of the Weedeater but there is no specific brand that you have to buy. I will warn you that some of the parts can be pretty expensive and, for carburetor parts, you may be looking at a small fortune to get that thing going!
