Do you have any good trout recipes to share?

I want to serve trout but don't know how to fix it.

There is a really good trout recipe that involves trout that is steamed in a garlic herb broth. There is dill cream sauce and you can serve this trout with wild rice or any kind of rice that you like. This meal is delicious and healthy and is great if you are on a budget.

A great preparation is to marinate the trout (fillets or whole cleaned fish) in lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, and parsley for 1-2 hours. Then grill on a barbecue or grill pan for 4-7 minutes per side. Trout is also great smoked, try marinating a whole fish with brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic and cold smoke for four hours.

An easy and delicious way to prepare trout is on the grill. After the trout is cleaned, add two or three pats of butter inside the trout. Season with some soy sauce and wrap the whole fish in aluminum foil. Cook it on the grill or bake in the oven.

My very favorite is grilled under the broiler- make a "boat" of foil, butter the inner cavity of the fish and season with salt, pepper and lemon, or lemon pepper, and grill under the broiler, brush the outside with seasoned butter when half done. Garnish with parsley and lemon wedges.

I made a great stuffed trout for a dinner party. Use two good sized fillets (skin still on) and sandwich them (skin side out) with prepared StoveTop Stuffing in between. Bake at 350 degrees. Gently scrape off top skin before serving (the bottom skin will probably stick to the pan).

The favorite in my family is fried trout. Simply take your already cleaned trout and dip in a mixture of flour, salt and pepper. Fry in shallow pan till flaky.

My father was an advid fisherman. He would make this terrific beer batter for trout or any type fish we had. He used pancake batter with beer in it and dipped the fish in it, then fry it. It was terrific. Of course, he would season with seasoning as well.
