I think it only matters if the two people who may or may not be the same sign want to get along and be friends or more than. It depends on the person and there personalities not really what sign you are. I'm Capricorn and my husband is Virgo.

Yes, they can be compatible. Don't put too much stock in these compatibilities though because modern astrology is messed up. For instance, there are actually thirteen signs and they are not all divided into nice, neat divisions (ie 30 days). Look this up in a search engine to learn more.
