Red-Ear slider turtles are omnivorous and eat both meat and plants. Amongst them includes worms. Earthworms and Blackworms are the preferred invertebrate treats that turtles consume. However, worms should be checked thoroughly to prevent any sort of harm to the turtle.

Since they are omnivores they do eat meat such as worms as well as vegetables. They can also eat fish, insects, aquatic plants, tadpoles, snails and other things that live in ponds.

Absolutely they eat worms. I have had a pet red-eared slider. He came to us about the size of a quarter. He started out eating crickets and then moved to worms. Small ones at first cut into pieces. He took them into his mouth and shook them around like a dog.

From experience I do not know. My red-ear only eats pellets and doesn't even eat fish. He sleeps all year long and when he wants food, knocks on his box. You could try it but I don't think so.
