Unless you've missed the recent beer commercial about men's purses.. Yes they do. Don't get a lap belt either. If you really have that much stuff to carry around, get a brief case. Or a little order backpack. Bags that sling over one shoulder should be left to the women.

There are a lot of different styles of messenger bags for men. Some DO look somewhat feminine. If you want to wear a messenger and avoid having it mistaken for a purse, choose a more masculine color like a dark green, or burnt orange. Stay away from brown suede or black leather- these will look like women's purses.
