Do English worksheets really help you learn?

I think worksheets help you to focus, practice on one particular skill. There are many specifics that students need to master early as punctuation, grammer, parts of speech. THey will use these skills for important purposes later on. Students will move onto writing paragraphs, themes and term papers. When they correct a rough draft they need this knowledge.

English worksheets do not help you to initially learn the curriculum being taught. After being taught the skill, worksheets are used to reinforce the skill.

It depends on the worksheet. Some worksheets are pure busy work but if they actually have you practice a concept you don't understand, they might help. The best way to practice with grammar and syntax though is to write and to get feedback from someone more experienced about your grammar, your voice, and your spelling.
