Unless your Akai remote came with a guide that includes codes for other television then no, generally only universal or certain cable remotes can work on other televisions.

No they do not work on other tvs. They are not coded to work for different frequencies and thus will generally not work on different tvs. Universal remotes, however, can work for various tvs.

Akai remotes do not usually work on other televisions. Only "universal" remotes are codes to work on other television sets.

To answer your question, Akai remotes are a brand of remotes that has different models. They might work on other brand Televisions but, it's functions are to support for it's own brand which is Akai. Without knowing which model number of Akai remote that you are asking, it would be difficult to give you an logical answer based on such a question.
