Ad Aware Free has always worked for me on whatever computers I installed it on. This is an effective program for detecting Adware that could be intrusive and harmful to your computer.

Ad Aware does find a large number of malware but also seems to slow the computer down overall. I typically recommend Spybot Search and Destroy for it's larger detection rate and it's ease on system resources.

The program downloaded and installed just fine, but from personal experience, it didn't necessarily "work" all that well. It's a decent program for free software, but I've found on multiple occasions that it hasn't been able to identify basic adware.

Ad-aware free is a great program for removing spyware/malware and yes it worked phenomenally for me however, like all antispyware programs they wont catch them all.
