Could a cyst on a dog cause them to seize?

Depending on the breed of dog, a cyst may be indicative of tumor growth in other parts of the body. A cyst on the brain could indeed manifest itself by seizure activity. Epilepsy is more common in dogs than brain tumors. In some breeds benign cysts are quite common.

No. These two things are not related. If your dog had a seizure, he needs to be seen by a veterinarian very soon. Seizures can be caused by epilepsy, or more serious neurological problems. Either way, you need to take the dog to the vet.

This would very rarely happen. It could happen if the cyst were blocking some kind of major blood vessel. If your dog is making seizing type motions it could just be a sign of discomfort. Take your dog to the vet and get it checked out.

no. The only way this could occur is if the cyst were on the brain or brain stem. Otherwise a cyst can not have impact on nervous system functions. Even if the cyst is causing pain (which i doubt) its not likely
