Can you tell me where the line "shall I compare thee" comes from?

I think it's part of a poem.

It's part of a famous sonnet from William Shakespeare. It's sonnet 18, but it is more recognizable as "Shall I compare thee to a summer's day". It is a poem which basically says to the person he is writing the sonnet to that they are better than a summer's day and the reasons why.

That line is from one of Shakespeare's most famous sonnets in which he compares a woman to a summer's day. It's Sonnet 18.
