In most cases exercise can even improve your diabetes. However before beginning any exercise routine you should get your doctors approval. Assuming you have no physical limitations that would make certain Karate moves physically impossible there is no reason you couldn't do karate. Again in most cases people with Diabetes are encouraged to exercise.

I am going for my black belt in karate this coming February. I am 51 years old and have had Type I diabetes for 29 years. Just test your glucose often to see how your body reacts to exercise and stress of testing. Enjoy!

Exercise is a very good aid to fighting diabetes. Keeping in shape helps to regulate your insulin and will help keep your insulin in check.

Diabetes does not prevent you from taking karate; indeed, the exercise that you will get is actually good for you. You should discuss any exercise regimen with your doctor, however.

Exercising is actually good for diabetes because in most diabetic cases the doctor wants them to loose weight. However, you should always consult your physician before staring a new exercise or regimen to insure that it's not going to harm you.
