There are not many magazines for kids. But on that is great is KONO Martial Arts for kids. This should keep your child interested.

If you look on the web i'm sure you will find karate magazines. There has to be a lot of those types of magazines out there. You can find in depth magazines that'll teach you kids the fudamentals of karate. They will also be kid appropriate. So i am sure.

KONO is a general martial arts magazine for kids that also talks about toys. It may focus a bit more on cartoon characters who fight evil than on karate itself but it still might encourage him to read.

I found two karate magazines that are for kids. The first is KONO which can be viewed online or in print. The second is Action Martial Arts Magazine.

Karate is based upon discipline and not just violence. They are no known karate magazines directed below the teenage level.

My children read "The Karate Teacher" by Anne Catalan. It is a series of books that go from while belt to black belt. They love these strories.
