Can you take ceramics on an airplane in a metal urn?

I know the rules for what you can take on airplanes have changed a lot and just wanted to make sure I could bring this.

You should be fine, as long as none of the objects look like weapons or have liquids in them, and they all fit in your luggage. You should be prepared to open up and unwrap everything, if need be. The TSA website has complete rules, posted at tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm. Good luck!

As long as you're not bringing liquid, this should be fine. Make sure your container isn't too large.

Can it be taken in your hand luggage so it\'s with you all the time and you can handle it with more care? Or should it be checked in?  add a comment

Try putting it in your checked luggage and make it clear that's what you packed in your bag to the attendants at the bag check.
