You could call the satellite TV provider and ask them to get an accurate answer for the company that you are going to choose. However I have Dish Network and I do get local channels.

That all depends on your satellite provider. Most offer local channels as part of their basic packages so viewers can watch their local news. For community programming though, satellite providers will likely not carry an independent station.

You can get both satellite and local channels on your TV. Use a signal combiner with your antenna connected to antenna input and your satellite receiver connected to the channel 3/4 input. Connect the output to your TV. Tune your TV to channel 3 or 4 to receive satellite. Local channels will be at normal station frequency.

Yes, you can get local channels on Satellite TV. I have had Dish Network and Direct TV, both gave me all the local channels, as well as the exclusive channels that come with each network. In addition to the local channels, you also get those Sponsored programs such as PBS.

I am a DirecTV user and have been for almost five years. I've had my local and network channels as a part of my service for all of that time, at no extra charge. The signal reception is crystal clear and is available in either digital or high definition format.

I can tell you from experience with the two leading satellitie companies (DirectTV and Dish Network) that in fact they do offer their customers local channels. They usually offer these in standard definition and HD (where available) and at no additional cost to the consumer. Depending on where you live other local channels besides the 4 networks may be available.

Yes local channels have contract's with satellite tv provider's and they are offered usally in channel package the usally cost more than a basic channel package. Companies like dish network and direct tv have had some rumor's of droping local channel's due the cost of contract's of the local channels.

Yes, you can still recieve local channels through a satellite TV system. The only real change in using a satellite is possibly where these local channels are located. This all depends on your satellite provider.

Yes you can get local channels on satellite TV. Not only can you get the local channels from your region, but if you are moving from another location you can order their channels with special packages offered via your satellite TV service. This is a nice feature to stay connected with events locally from where you have moved.

Receiving local channels with satellite depends on the service provider. there are service providers that charge an additional fee to receive your local channels once you subscribe to them. There is always the option of unhooking the satellite and rehooking to receive the local channels, but this would be a big hassel for most people!

Satellite providers are required by law to offer local channels at a low monthly cost even if you don't buy other packages. We pay $11/mo.

You could get the broadcast channels if you had the correct antennae however unless the provider has these channels then you cannot watch them.

Yes. You have to call the satellite service provider to see if the local channels you are asking are available in that area. There is HD option and probably you have to pay.
