It's a towel. When you use it to dry yourself after a bath or shower, the towel gets wetter as you dry.

Once I tell you the answer, you will be surprised you haven't figured it out sooner. Think about it carefully... something that dries something and gets wet at the same time. Something you use in the kitchen as well as in the bathroom. Have you given up? A towel!

This is a difficult riddle. Then again, maybe it's easy and I'm not so smart. I can only think of one thing that gets wet as it dries. That would probably be dry ice. Dry ice is so cold that it can actually burn the skin if touched, but eventually melts into wetness as it dries out.
