Can you put freshwater mussels in an aquarium?

Yes, you can. Freshwater mussels are a great way to help keep your aquarium clean. They are what is called "filter feeders," which means that they feed by sucking in water, consuming the nutrients in that water, and breathing out clean water. They're almost like vacuum cleaners for your aquarium!

Yes they can be put into freshwater aquariums. A few stores currently have them for sale, but if you are getting them from a lake, be sure to clean them.

You can put freshwater mussels in a freshwater aquarium, but the mussels will die unless you feed them a suitable diet. Mussels are filter feeders, they will eat greenwater.

you can put freshwater mussels in one jsut make sure they get a lot of oxygen so they wont die and you also need to make sure there is the mud stuff at the bottom
