Can you put a hit counter in frontpage?

You can by clicking Insert -> Web Component. For the component type, click Hit Counter. You can choose an existing counter by double-clicking any of the counter styles, going to custom picture, and telling frontpage the location of your counter image (Must be a gif). There's the counter, and it can count the amount of people who visit the site.

You should be able to. Another website will likely be providing a hit counter for you therefore in order for you to put it in frontpage you will need to copy and paste the code they will likely provide for you into your webpage's source code.
