Single moms don't have privilege over people who have put off having children. You must complete a FAFSA, which is free, to determine your eligibility for financial aid. The school that accepts you then will assemble an aid package for you.

check with your local technical college. Usually the financial aid office works with the department of labor and they have programs like WIA (work inforcement act) that pays single mothers for going to school.
