Of course, but you need have a great knowledge of at least one of the computer languages such as C.You'll need some handy softwares too, namely Flash, 3D Studio Max and/or Maya. There are a lot of guides to help you do it. I personally recommend "Teach Yourself Game Programming in 24 Hours", but you'll have to pay for it.
