Question by  Liz54 (103)

Can you help me figure out why my 93 Plymouth Voyager stalls in the heat?

I live in a very hot area.

have a mechanic check the onboard computer for you vehicle. sometimes this will get hot and quit working. also, have the mechanic check all the sensors on the vehicle for proper function. check to see if the cooling system is working properly. the temp. sensor may also not be working.

It could be worth it to consult with a professional mechanic in order to figure out this problem. But, it could be a problem with the sensors in your vehicle. Sensors detect any change in the temperature outside your car and if it is not working correctly, then it could be shutting down as the temperature rises.

I experienced this same problem one time in my honda civic because i installed the wrong spark plugs. After my local mechanic told me to change the plugs and i did so, the problem was solved.

Well, the heat is most likely your problem. Heat causes the motor to accelerate too fast which makes the car stall.
