Can you help me develop lesson plans for nonfiction books?

The biggest challenge of teaching nonfiction books is actually getting students to read them, since students might find them tedious. I recommend using lots of fun and relevant quizzes.

I would recommend two excellent books to help you with this: Nonfiction Matters by Stephanie Harvey and Nonfiction Craft Lessons by Pourtalupi.

Pick out the one primary thing from each chapter you want the students to learn. Then pick out five lesser facts; this is how you build a lesson plan.
