Can you get a disease from rat droppings?

You can't catch anything from rat droppings the stories you hear as just urban myth, however rats do carry disease they don't spread it through their droppings. The Center for Disease Control states that these claims are false, however they don't refute that rats do not carry viruses just not through their droppings.

Yes. Rats constantly urinate and defecate. Their droppings flake off as dust that gets caught in the air, you inhale or eat it, and it makes you sick.

Well you can't get a disease unless you eat them and then yes they can be very poisonous to the human body.
