Well first off, I don't think that they have enough meat on them to make a decent meal. Secondly, they can give you Ciguatera Poisoning if consumed by a human, and they are considered a bait fish so they are not highly prized by fisherman. Thirdly, are you kidding me?! I can't eat Dory! That would be wrong! :(

You cannot eat Pacific Blue Tang - they can cause poisoning in humans, and their flesh has a very strong, unappetizing odor. They are, however, used as bait fish.

They aren't very edible partly due to their strong odor and the possibility of causing ciguatera poisoning. They can, however, be used as bait for fishing.
